Costa Rican Bottle Bromeliad
Learning that much of what you think about life, self, health and spirituality is really just a ‘keyhole view’ of the real thing. Realizing that thinking focuses your mind but also creates ‘tunnel-like walls’ to contain / define the experience – like a picture frame. Allowing your spirit to move freely ( outwardly via your actions, inwardly via your emotions ) so you can observe your true nature and learn authentic spirituality.
Positive – Unimpeded, Unrestrained.
+ Living large. Life-based thinking. Expressing your true self and bringing your spiritual essence to the world. Able to freely express yourself because you do not fear ‘losing who you are’. Able to be creative without losing yourself to the things you create. Being true to who you are even when involved in large projects or have a busy schedule. Truly open minded and able to be spontaneous in your views about life. Innate consciousness in its fullness.
Negative – Restricted, Restrained.
– Living small. Rule-based thinking. Expressing who you think you are and always presenting a limited version of your true potential to the world. Surrounded by your own dogmatic beliefs, opinions and thinking that prevents expansion of consciousness. Mentally restricted from being who you are in spirit. Restricted by religious or spiritual beliefs from progressing spiritually. Prevented from leading a normal human life. Lost in the world created by your thoughts and serving your limited creations, not your infinite self. Commitment issues because you feel that your freedom would be restricted and you would be prevented from living a full life. Restricted from living a full life by your thinking. Mentally squeezed into a lesser and lesser versions of your true self. Blocked from higher awareness because your mind is filtering out anything that does not match your views, beliefs and thoughts. Bottling your soul.
Cause of Issue – Suppression ( of Emotion )
The Botanical Archetype Aechmea relieves issues caused by the suppression emotion & your true self.
Lesson of this Plant Group
Realizing that when we stop the free flow of emotion in one area of our lives, we stop the free expression of self in all areas of life.
This species of Bromeliad is native to Central America and the north western regions of South America – Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama, Nicaragua and Colombia.
Like many species of Aechmea, this plant produces a spearlike flower bract, except in this case, the flower bract is more expressive than the norm. An indication of ‘a desperate need to speak out and be who you are’. The bottle shape, as with other Aechmea flower remedies like The Cathedral flower, Aechmea bromelifolia indicates the tendency to hide, suppress and ‘bottle up’ one’s feelings, thoughts and self in general.
The plant has few leaves but a bold appearance, like The Flower of Confidence, Aechmea cuspidata which indicates a need to simplify, strip back and allow your essence to shine through. All signatures point to a need to be who you naturally are.
The message is ‘When you are natural, your spirit can be freely expressed & your actions will be raised to match your higher nature. When you are tense, your spirit cannot fit through the bottleneck of the mind, restricting your actions to those of a lesser being.’
