Lacquered Wine Cup
Contemplating and approaching your life from the perspective of oneness. Approach life as though it were a single event, not a thousand things to juggle. Retaining an awareness of you, the observer, while the scenes of life change around you.
Unified. Singular experience of life. Seeing that all of your experiences are woven together by a single thread. Reconciling inner fragmentation and ill feeling caused by your view of reality. No longer driven to seek ‘oneness’ or your place in the universe. Managing your whole reality in the same way. Aware that everything boils down to two basic ingredients – the observer and the experience. Reducing your emotional life down to one thing – One life. One experience. One you.
Negative – Duality, Discord.
Duality, plurality and multiplicity – the idea that there are two or more realities to deal with. I.e. Relationship, family, job, etc. Juggling reality as though there was more than one present moment to deal with. Juggling life rather than living it. Acting like you are living 50 lives when you are only ever living one. Placing different emotional values on your experience of life. Caught in a tug-‘o-war between the things you accept ( desire ) and wish to avoid ( fear ). Splitting yourself into more and more pieces that you then have to manage health-wise. Unable to find meaning for your life because you can no longer see ‘the bigger picture’. Looking to find ‘oneness’ when you are already one-with-life. Turning life into a journey ‘from problem to perfection’ as though there were a ‘here’ and there was a ‘there’. Mentally projected all kinds of things onto the experience of life.
Cause of Issue – Suppression ( of Emotion )
The Botanical Archetype Aechmea relieves issues caused by the suppression of emotion, suppression of your true self.
Lesson of this Plant Group
Your feelings and emotions provide feedback about your current experience of life. They are natures way of correcting your course.
Doctrine of Signatures
Like the Flower of Confidence, Aechmea nudicaulis, this flower has a bold appearance but is made up of very few leaves. Plants like this are stripped back to the bare essentials and live minimalist lives for survival reasons.
As the Bromeliads have evolved from the grass family, this particular Aechmea has little evolved from the simple structure of its ancestors. The simplicity of its form and the complexity of its appearance contrast with one another and points to the key signature – the ability to simplify the complex.
As an aside, like most Aechmea’s, the flower bract is stunning in flower and long lasting. Another signature pointing to long lasting feelings and inner strength.
