Carpet Bromeliads are a prickly group of terrestrial bromeliads that belong to genus Abromitiella. Carpet Bromeliads vary in size, from tiny green star-shaped plants, to silver and large, fist-sized plants. They are star-shaped and form dense clusters. When viewed from a distance, the colony of plants gives the appearance of a smooth, spherical dome but when closely inspected, they are in fact a dense colony of plants.
Carpet Bromeliads spill across the landscape and follow the contour of the ground, mimicking the shape of rocks or anything they make contact with.
